“hi sweetie!” selena greeted the young girl next to them, “i love your dress.”
the little girl nervously giggled. “thanks, your shirt’s pretty.”
“thank you! what’s your name?” selena cocked her head to the side.
“i’m nicole.” her eyes wandered to justin who was grinning wide, “i love boyfriend!” she squealed quickly, eyes doe-like.
“really? thanks nicole!” justin gasped, “do you want a picture?”
the dad gratefully smiled, nodding as he turned on the camera. justin leaned over to pose. selena poked her finger at nicole’s cheek. “we have a rule about pictures, you have to smile wide.”
“deal!” nicole grinned nice and big.
“that’s a good smile.” justin complimented, glancing at her, “now, are you a lakers fan?”
she nodded, her eyes dodging his gaze. “i am, i loooove them.”
“me too,” justin nudged selena, “this one over here isn’t.”
“WHAT?!” nicole gasped as her father chuckled. “that’s silly, selena.”
“just you wait and see.” selena laughed.
the game continued. the couple watched every minute of it. “GOSH DARN.” selena shouted as another foul was called and two more points went on the board.
justin leaned over selena’s back, “HIGH FIVE NICOLE!” the little girl smacked his hand gleefully.
later, after the kiss-cam, nicole continued to giggle. “what are you laughin’ at?” justin narrowed his eyes teasingly.
“you guys kisssssed!” nicole sang, scrunching her nose with a grin.
“we did..” he glanced at the father, “and you have to pinky promise to never kiss a boy until you’re… sixteen.” the father smirked. he offered his pinky. nicole took it, nodding. “deal?”
“deal.” nicole raised her eyebrows, “but never say never!”
